you gave it all you could boy but like all other rural pubs, they are just hanging on, times have changed and people dont relies dat. 1500 pubs closed in 3 years. Always enjoyed myself there and hope it survives.

Been in the pub a couple of times over the years. Previous owner to Declan was a great guy. Loads of craic in the pub. Poor Declan didn't know what to do. Hope the new owner will get it right cause it's a fine stop with lots of promise.

We were all so excited when Declan announced the new landlord as the place could really do with a much needed lift. We are waiting still for that new lift and craic that it once had. Hurry up come on.

I was there with my mates autumn 2006 and saw this girl that I haven't forgotten about. She seemed to be a local but people told me she was swedish or norwegian. She didn't speak to me but by God I cant forget her. Does anyone know who she could have been? She was blonde and quite tall and seemed to know all the locals. The pub was good, I can't quite recall it.

Ye could use a bit of entertainment saturday nights!!!! The beer could be better!!!!!! and a pooltable couldnt go astray!!! But da syaff are lovely and the food is nice!!! but the locals are mad fun and they are gas crak very socalaible and fierce nice!!!!!!! id recommend ye go der 4 da crak but buy da botteld drink cuz ud b as sick as a dog da morning after!!!!!!!!!!!!!

THIS IS ONE OF THE POOREST PUBS I HAVE FREQUENTED,WHILST ON MY TRAVALS IN THE MIGHTY IRELAND,I HAVE TRAVELLED ALL OVER IRELAND AND FEEL THIS PUB LAXES A WELCOMING ATMOSPHERE,WHICH I WOULD I WOULD NOT HAVE EXPECTED FROM A PUB STEEPED IN HISTORY.I HAVE MET MANY A LOCAL,AND I WAS MADE MOST WELCOME.I HAD FREQUENTED THE PUB OF MANY OCCASSSIONS AND FOUND THE MANAGEMENT VERY UNPREDICTABLE,I.E,YOUY YOU DONT KNOW YOU IF THEY WILL TALK TO YOU FROM ONE DAY TO THE NEXT.I DO HOPE TO CALL TO NADD AGAIN,

fine bar, has always drawn the crowds, seems to be known all over munster, the owner in my opinion is a tryer, nadstock, biker rallies, food, u name it his tried it, we should be so lucky if the next owner is half as much as a gent as the current 1. toilets could use a bit of updating tho!
