Went for a bite and a few pints over the weekend, excellent all around. Nice to go to a well-run pub, they are few and far between!

Went there with a few friends for dinner & a few pints last week, could not believe the place, We hadn't been there since the old owners returned, and may I say what a difference! Top class all around. A well-run establishment, with great food & bar. Our new local!!

have to say have both eating and had drinks on different occasions here but its an overall average as some times we had a great service and other were a down right disaster, the pos: was able to get gluten free food for a friend, some staff ago out of their way to help the neg: i cant stand seeing a chef in the public area hanging off the bar with dirty cuffs and stained apron, just gives me an insight to what care/level of hygiene one of the chefs have at least, bar staff need to take their differences out of the public eye and stop hanging around

Went there for a few pints recently, delighted this place is being really well run again, great pints & atmosphere, comfortable, & great food by the way. Will be back. Often.

was ar party last week when i went to loo ugh please sort out this area its real bad food was only ok think we will go down the village next time the briar is not for under 50s but nice pub

was at 30th birthday party last week nice pub but not what i expected for a bar in douglas its more a old time local.had a good night later down the village more for our age group.loved the smoking area out front.

Went to watch the munster v saracens match on advice of this website...will definately be back there for the final. Great atmosphere great pint great service

best atmosphere in cork for the munster games. Great staff, lovely pint and the food is top notch.

Watched some of the six nations games there and found it a nice comfortable pub. Lovely pint of guinness and friendly staff. Will def go back.

STAFF WERE NOT FRIENDLY ON THIS VISIT ITS A PITY WE WERE THERE LAST YEAR AND HAD A GREAT TIME THE STAFF ARE ALL CHANGED THE PRESENT GUYS HAVE A BETTER BAR AND SURROUNDS PITY ABOUT SERVICE

went there for a BBQ on sunday afternoon, the decking is fab, left at the end of the night what a great craic, the whether was hot, the beer was cheap and the women were both. GO

Great new reseraunt menu introduced recently. Since the new owners took over the staff have become so much friendlier.
