The Boothouse is a traditional thatched country pub only 10 minutes from Cork city centre. It is family run and looks beautiful on the inside as well as the outside. The building dates back to 1773 and has an old world charm in a lovely, warm, friendly atmosphere. The Boothouse serves fabulous food including as a good a steak as you'll get anywhere and was recently voted the best local bar in Ireland in a text poll run by Newstalk FM in association with the Vintners Federation of Ireland. Good fresh food. Always a warm welcome. If you can make it from the city centre in 10 minutes, it must be by plane. martha

A great pub only a few minutes from the city. Possibly the best pint of Stout in Cork, creamy to the end. Very friendly staff with excellent food. A true gem!

Lovely tatched pub 10 mins from city center. Friendly staff and a decent pint in nice, quiet surroundings. Fire lighting in winter makes it very comfortable and cosy.
